Midnight Storm Ch. 5

"Fine. Well, believe it or not, I used to be a human, too. I was turned inot a vampire when I was about seven. A vampire hunter took me in after killing the pureblood that made me this way. My teacher taught me all the vampire hunter's ways and everything. So, despite being a vampire myself, I became a vampire hunter. In secret of course. Which is why I'm a double agent. Now, some vampires find out about that. They never have any proof though so they just send threats. Oh, and about the list. Those are the names of the vampires I'm supposed to get rid of. And when I'm done with them my teacher sends me a list of ten more. By the way, the first one on that list is the one that tried to kill you that night. That's basically everything," he finally finished and took a long breath of relief. And, without looking back up, he pointed to at the door. "Now leave."
I just blinked. Now there were vampire hunters? It just seemed like fantasy was becoming reality. I was scared, I mean really who wouldn't be, but it was all pretty cool. And, I didn't want to go back to my old, boring life now that I found something to live for.
"Sorry, but no," I said after some thought. "I can't just leave and go back to the same old thing. Not now that I've learned about something greater. I'm staying here with you and you're going to take me to your teacher so he can teach me to be a vampire hunter." Yuki sighed.
"You just won't give up..." he said. I stared at him with eyes full of determination.
"Your realize it'll be very dangerous and you might end up dying or becoming a vampire?" I nodded. "And you still wish to go through with this?" I nodded again. "Fine... Go back to sleep. You'll need the energy for later tonight when you meet my teacher." I smiled and started walking towards the bed. I stopped a little farther from behind Yuki. "Thank you," I whispered.
Yuki left the room as I got settled in the bed. I heard him quietly talking on the phone as I drifted off to sleep.
